Richard furthered his education by graduating from the prestigious Commercial Union Insurance School for Agents in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1995. His leadership qualities and industry insights became apparent when he assumed the role of President of Dansby, Evans, Skipper Agency in 1995.

In 2001, he reached another pinnacle in his career by receiving the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, showcasing his commitment to the insurance and risk management profession. Over the years, Richard excelled, ultimately being appointed Vice President at Skipper Insurance Agencies in 2008. In 2013, he assumed a significant role as Vice President and Chairman at Palomar Insurance Corporation, making substantial contributions to the company. His journey came full circle in 2022 when he was appointed President and Chairman of the Board of Palomar, continuing to lead and innovate in the insurance sector.

Real Estate Career

Demonstrating his versatility and the ability to excel in various fields, Richard ventured into real estate. He acquired his real estate sales license in 1999. In 2014, he achieved a broker license, a testament to his extensive knowledge in the real estate industry. Currently, Richard serves as the Qualifying Broker at Skipper Realty.
