Meet Joe C. Skipper

Education and Early Career 

After graduating from Marion Military Institute in 1971, Joe pursued his higher education at the prestigious University of Alabama. At UA, he demonstrated his leadership skills by serving as the Vice President of the International Insurance Society. His dedication to the field earned him a special invitation from his professor, Dr. John Bickley, to attend an international conference hosted by the International Insurance Society in China. 

In 1975, Joe proudly graduated from the University of Alabama with a double major in Insurance and Real Estate. Eager to embark on his career, he joined Skipper Insurance & Realty. In 1976, Joe obtained his insurance and real estate licenses, marking the beginning of his impressive journey in the industry.

Awards and Recognition 

Joe's passion for insurance and commitment to excellence led him to actively engage with the Alabama Young Agents. His outstanding contributions were recognized when he was elected Young Agent of the Year and later served as the President of the group.  In 1985, Joe achieved the prestigious CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation.

Community Involvement

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Joe Skipper has made significant contributions to the Jackson community. He has been a dedicated member of the Rotary Club, receiving the esteemed Paul Harris Fellow. In 1999, his outstanding contributions to the community were acknowledged when he was named Jackson Citizen of the Year.

Joe has actively participated in the Jackson Downtown Revitalization committee, served as a valued member of the Chamber of Commerce, and dedicated his time and energy as a volunteer firefighter.

In addition to his extensive involvement in the insurance and real estate fields, Joe has held certifications as a certified general appraiser and a certified commercial appraiser, further showcasing his commitment to excellence and expertise. Joe C. Skipper's professional journey and dedication to both his industry and community are a source of inspiration, reflecting his unwavering commitment to excellence and service.
